Dos de los cantautores más connotados de Nicaragua, Carlos y Luis Enrique Mejía Godoy, interpretarán poemas de Rubén Darío en el festival internacional de poesía que lleva su nombre, informaron sus organizadores.
“Carlos y Luis Enrique Mejía Godoy nos han confirmado que van a interpretar algunos de los poemas más conocidos de nuestro máximo poeta”, dijo a Acan-Efe el presidente del Festival Internacional de Poesía de Managua “Rubén Darío”, Ariel Montoya.
Los hermanos Mejía Godoy, tíos del famoso y multipremiado salsero Luis Enrique, originarios del norte de Nicaragua, son dos de los artistas más reconocidos del país, tanto por sus canciones revolucionarias, como por hacer eco de la música nicaragüense. Carlos Mejía Godoy interpretará el poema “Oda a Roosevelt”, y Luis Enrique hará lo propio con “Caupolicán” y “Lo fatal”, según Montoya.
En su segunda edición el Festival Internacional de Poesía de Managua “Rubén Darío” se realiza con miras a convertirse en el más importante de la capital nicaragüense, con la participación de más de 100 poetas de 70 países.
Dicho festival se celebrará del 19 al 22 de mayo en Managua.
